Intelligence
Course Overview
This course covers
the principal ideas and developments in artificial
intelligence selecting form a broad range of topics, such
as: problem-solving methods, representation of knowledge,
machine learning, natural language analysis and synthesis,
and programming languages for artificial intelligence.
Through the written and programming assignments, students
will be encouraged to explore how different AI techniques
can be applied to solve real world problems.
Prerequisites
This class will generally be
offered only to advanced students in computer science (in their
third or fourth year of study). Although the contents may vary
across different offerings of this course, the general
prerequisites will likely include the following:
- Fundamentals of
probability and statistics (including Bayes theorem)
- Fundamentals of calculus
- Data structures and
algorithms
- Strong programming skills
