Privilege Card-holding Membership

Every individual who graduates as a full-time student in pursuit of an Ashesi University degree is a member of the Ashesi Alumni Association. Ashesi's alumni are individuals who care about the welfare and future of their Alma Mater and are essential to the continued success of the university.

The Alumni Association offers valuable programs to foster connections among all alumni and current students while providing special benefits for members to thank them for their support.

Alumni Association membership is in two forms; card holding and non-card holding. Card-holding members pay for a privilege card which allows them to use Ashesi resources such as the library and Writing and Math Resources Centres. Card-holding members also enjoy discounts from our Preferred Business Partners, discounts on transcript requests and our on-campus space rental facility.

Money raised from the purchase of privilege cards goes to support the tuition of needy but brilliant Ashesi students.

All Alumni Association members receive alumni communications (alerts about workshops, events at Ashesi, job postings, Ashesi Bulletin etc.); can give back to Ashesi either by serving as a mentor, helping Ashesi recruit students; organizing workshops or speaking in classes; and donating to the various funds at Ashesi.

Card holding members pay GHC 40 for a privilege card valid for 2 years. Your purchase of a privilege card will go to support the efforts of the Alumni Relations Office.

By paying to become a card holding member of the Ashesi Alumni Association, you will receive valuable benefits including access to Ashesi’s resources (library, career and writing centres), an Ashesi-based e-mail address you can use forever, discounts on continuous education courses and Ashesi branded materials.

• Your Ashesi Alumni Association membership allows you to receive updates on campus happenings and in the lives of your Ashesi friends through our bi-annual e-newsletter. You are welcome to contribute material to the e-newsletter as well.

•  E-mail for life is a service that provides you with a single Ashesi-based address which you can use no matter where your life takes you.*

• You will be given the opportunity to give back to Ashesi by serving as an Alumni Committee member, volunteering at Ashesi events and helping Ashesi recruit the best and brightest students.*
