At Ashesi, we believe the brightest students and future leaders of Africa, should have access to a high quality education regardless of their family's financial resources. Scholarships are critical to our ability to attract women and top students from rural backgrounds or difficult circumstances. Thanks to donors like you, in 2010 alone Ashesi provided over to $500,000 in financial aid to deserving students.  There are three ways you can get involved:

Donate annually to the scholarship fund. Donations to this fund enable us to pool resources to support students. No amount is too small or too big for a contribution to this fund.  Gifts are used directly to provide funding for scholarship students on campus.

Name a scholarship. By donating $10,000 or more you can have a scholarship named in your honor or in the honor of someone you care about.  You can work with Ashesi staff to set the criteria for receiving the scholarship and will receive annual updates from the student once the scholarship has been awarded.

Endow a Scholarship. A gift of $150,000 or more can endow a scholarship permanently.  Your gift will be set aside and the interest earned will be used to pay for the education of one student into perpetuity.  You may work with Ashesi staff to set the criteria for receiving the scholarship and will be updated annually about the student's progress.  This is a great way to ensure set up a permanent legacy of supporting education in Africa.
