Their son Kweku graduated from Ashesi in 2005 and enrolled in a graduate program in Computer Science at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland.
“We wanted an excellent education for our son, in Ghana or abroad. Initially, we really doubted whether we could get this in Ghana. And then we came to visit Ashesi. Kweku saw the facilities and was overwhelmed. After a few sessions he thought, ‘This is the place.’
We have spoken to many friends about Ashesi and convinced one of our colleagues to send their son here. We said to them, ‘Look, there is no point sending him abroad.’ ”
