An effective leader is not without a self-motivated and dedicated team. This kept on playing in my mind as I selected my team of executives. I should say, I am very humbled to have such capable executives to work with. We, the executive council of the ASC, are ready to take the mantle, with gratitude, as chief servants serving the wellbeing of the students. We are ready to serve with all humility and with maximum competency.
Max De Pree, in his book, Leadership is an Art, stated, “The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between the two, the leader is a servant and a debtor”. The reality we seek to create in our term of office is a vibrant and borderless Ashesi campus; a financially independent student council and a transparent, responsive and result-oriented ASC. We seek to raise more funds to expand the ASSF while creating a vibrant-filled campus. In all our dealings, we will work closely with our tireless staff and faculty, and the rest of the student body in achieving our purpose.
