To provide a positive living experience for Ashesi students, the university has 8 residence halls housing 300 students. The Berekuso campus has a convenience store with provides toiletries, provisions, a few stationery items as well as quick snacks for the community. Ashesi hopes to have more housing available on campus for students in the future. Meanwhile, students participate in a yearly lottery for room allocation to make the selection process free of bias. To help create a well-ordered community in each hall, residence assistants (RAs) are selected through an application process by the Office of Dean of Students to serve as liaisons between the students and the administration. RAs serve to promote a friendly atmosphere of social interaction and create an environment that is conducive to academic study. Ashesi housing is managed by two staff Residence Coordinators. The residence halls have janitorial services for all areas except student bedrooms, security guards a security alarm system and rapid emergency response services. A generator is available when the power is out and water tanks to ensure there is a steady supply of water at all times. The Operations Department and the Dean of Students Office ensure all the residence halls run efficiently. Here are some of the features of residence halls:

Ashesi University provides housing options as part of the university's efforts to enhance the educational experience of its students. By increasing opportunities for teamwork, enabling closer friendships and serving as a microcosm of a well-ordered community, dormitory life serves as an important venue for each student's personal growth.
