Summary of event/incident: A student reported that her laptop had been stolen. She had stepped out of her room, with the door unlocked, and and left the device. On her return, she could not locate the laptop. The incident was reported to Campus security for investigations, but no leads have been found.

    In 2017, Ashesi was awarded the World Innovation Summit in Education Prize, one of the world’s biggest prizes in education. In 2018, Ashesi was also awarded a Charter by the President of Ghana, granting us full independence as a nationally recognized degree-granting institution. Ashesi was the youngest private university to have been granted a Presidential Charter in Ghana’s history. In 2012, Ashesi University was ranked among the top ten most respected organizations in Ghana (a first for an education institution) in a survey of 300 CEOs conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Business and Financial Times.
